Tagebucheintrag.
Neu-Delhi. Ich erinnere mich genau an diesen Tag. Zum ersten Mal setzte ich meinen Fuß auf indischen Boden. Schon beim Verlassen des Flughafens schlug mir die warme Luft entgegen. Überall Stimmen, hupende Rikschas, Menschen aus allen Richtungen, als geschähe alles gleichzeitig. Die Stadt war laut, lebendig und überwältigend – ein Kulturschock für alle Sinne. Wenig später saß ich in einer Rikscha. Mit jedem Kilometer veränderte sich die Welt. Zitrone, Limette und Bergamotte wehten aus kleinen Läden herüber. Gewürze, warme Hölzer, Gerüche, die ich nicht kannte. Es war überwältigend, ein Kulturschock für alle Sinne. Je näher wir Nizamuddin kamen, desto mehr hatte ich das Gefühl, dass die Hektik einer besonderen Ruhe wich. Dort begegnete ich einem älteren Mann in traditioneller langer weißer Kurta. Sein Bart schneeweiß, sein Gesicht ruhig und gelassen. Er umarmte mich herzlich, eine schlichte Geste, voller Wärme und Menschlichkeit. In genau diesem Augenblick nahm ich den Duft wahr. Er war frisch und klar, eröffnet von einer strahlenden Zitrik aus Zitrone, Limette und Bergamotte. Sanfte Lotusnuancen gaben ihm diese transparente, schwebende Leichtigkeit. In der Basis verband sich ein heller, sauberer weißer Moschus mit dezenten holzigen und fein würzigen Facetten. Modern, klar und von stiller Eleganz.
Viele Jahre später entstand aus dieser Erinnerung ein Parfum. Nicht als Kopie eines Ortes, nicht als Porträt eines Menschen, sondern als olfaktorische Übersetzung dieses einen Augenblicks, der bis heute nachklingt.
Diesen Duft nannte ich Nizamuddin, nicht weil er den Stadtteil beschreiben soll, sondern weil dort jene Begegnung war, die meine Erinnerung für immer geprägt hat. Jedes Mal, wenn ich diesen Duft trage, kehre ich für einen kleinen Moment dorthin zurück auf die Straßen Neu-Delhis, zur Rikscha-Fahrt und zu jener herzlichen Umarmung, in der aus einem flüchtigen Augenblick eine bleibende Erinnerung wurde.

Die Geschichte:
Es heißt, dass manche Düfte nicht für den Alltag erschaffen wurden, sondern für Augenblicke, in denen Zeit und Raum ihre Bedeutung verlieren. Lange bevor Tempel aus Stein errichtet wurden, versammelten sich Menschen im Schein flackernder Bienenwachskerzen. Das warme Licht tanzte über dunkles Holz, alte Gefäße und den aufsteigenden Rauch kostbarer Essenzen. Jeder Atemzug war Teil des Rituals. Im Mittelpunkt des Raumes stand eine alte Schale aus dunklem Holz. Darin ruhte ein seltenes Oud aus Thailand, tief, warm und voller geheimnisvoller Schönheit. Sein Duft verband sich mit schwarzem Moschus, dessen samtige Dunkelheit den Raum wie ein unsichtbarer Schleier erfüllte. Edler Zimt aus Ceylon entfaltete seine sanfte Würze, während rote Beeren und reife Früchte einen geheimnisvollen rubinfarbenen Glanz beisteuerten. Dann legte sich Ambergris über das Ganze wie ein kaum greifbarer Hauch, warm, salzig, mineralisch und von einer stillen Tiefe. Er verlieh dem Duft eine fast schwerelose Aura, als würde er zugleich aus uralten Wäldern und von den endlosen Küsten ferner Meere stammen. Vanille und Karamell flossen schließlich wie flüssiger Bernstein durch die Komposition und verschmolzen mit dem Eindruck geschmolzenen Bienenwachses. Der Raum wurde von einer goldenen Wärme erfüllt, als würden jahrhundertealte Kerzen unaufhörlich brennen. Holz, Gewürze, Harze und Ambergris verbanden sich zu einer Atmosphäre, die zugleich ehrfürchtig und tröstlich war. Mit jeder Minute wurde es stiller. Nicht, weil niemand mehr sprach, sondern weil der Duft jede Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zog. Das Ritual war keine Handlung mehr. Es war ein Zustand, eine unsichtbare Präsenz, die den Raum erfüllte und jeden, der ihn betrat, für einen Augenblick aus der Gegenwart löste. „Kultritual“ ist deshalb mehr als ein Parfum. Es ist die Erinnerung an eine vergessene Zeremonie, an flackerndes Kerzenlicht, uralte Hölzer und kostbare Essenzen, die über Generationen bewahrt wurden. Man trägt „Kultritual“ nicht, um gesehen zu werden, sondern um selbst den Kreis zu betreten und Teil des Rituals zu werden.

Ihre Stimmen suchen nach dem Meister und offenbaren ihm, welche Essenzen miteinander zu einem neuen Duft verschmelzen möchten. Der Meister vermag es, ihre Sprache zu verstehen und die Essenzen zu jener Komposition zu vereinen, nach der sie seit jeher verlangen. So entstehen Duftkompositionen höchster Qualität, die die Welt noch nicht kannte.

Duftverlauf:
Der Duft eröffnet mit dem tiefen, warmen Aroma sorgfältig getrockneter Tabakblätter von edelster Qualität. Nicht der Geruch brennenden Tabaks, sondern der sanfte, aromatische Duft kostbarer Blätter, wie sie in den Werkstätten großer Zigarrenmeister ruhen.
Aus den Schatten der Kammer erhebt sich anschließend thailändisches Oud.

Diese Handelswege gingen als Weihrauchstraße in die Geschichte ein und zählten zu den bedeutendsten Routen der Antike. Weihrauch und Adlerholz gehören zu den kostbarsten Handels- und Duftgütern der Antike.
Sie wurden in Tempeln verbrannt, an Königshöfen geschätzt und über weite Entfernungen gehandelt. Weihrauch war über Jahrtausende hinweg ein Symbol des Gebets. Sein aufsteigender Rauch galt in zahlreichen religiösen Traditionen als Sinnbild der Verbindung zwischen Mensch und Himmel.
Auch Adlerholz begleitet seit Jahrhunderten die spirituellen Traditionen Asiens und des Nahen Ostens. Sein Duft wird bis heute mit Meditation, Einkehr und feierlichen Zeremonien verbunden.
